What a race!

Except for one racer by the name of Ken Roczen, every rider at round 9 in Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz stadium had a true fight on their hands. So much so, that the podium was still shaking itself out when the white flag waved. The end results were decided on the final lap of the 20-minute Main event with OGIO’s Cooper Webb and Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac freight training their way through Martin Davalos, who raced his best 450 Supercross of his rookie season.

Round 4 of the AMA Supercross series and the first triple crown format race of the season treated the Glendale fans to a great race!  So far this season, we’re seeing a few key standouts in both the Premier 450 and also 250 West regional classes.  In the 250 class, Round 4 saw OGIO racers take a clean sweep of the top 3 podium positions with Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner taking the victory, his season rival Dylan Ferrandis in 2nd and the likable Californian Michael Mosiman hitting his stride in Glendale with a solid 3rd place finish.

Check out below on what team KRT MXGP had to say on the first race back of the season!
Words from Team KRT MXGP
"The Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team was back in race action this weekend on Sardinia with both Clément Desalle and Romain Febvre easing back into racing mode.

Five weeks prior to the opening round of the FIM MXGP World Championship several major teams were present at the race, the first opportunity of the season to ride under racing conditions; it was the first time that this race has been part of KRT’s winter preparation and proved a useful shakedown. Clément Desalle enjoyed a strong ride up the leaderboard to fourth in the MX1 race, setting similar lap times to the leader on the rough sandy track of Riola Sardo; Romain Febvre was content to enjoy track time as he felt the inevitable effects of arm-pump following the long winter break from racing.
